Consideration in progress

I am trying to think what I want from this blog, which is why I haven't actually used it for a long while.
I think i'm going to split in half (some days literally ...) and have a more casual blog of the 'this is what i'm listening to/watching/doing/how are you variety' and another of more substance based around scrapbooking articles as the two together are crossing over a bit too much for me.

By way of an update, let me say Toby is doing very well and gaining weight, height, strength, all the bits and pieces he should be doing for his age and some extra ones as well so we are proud parents. I have been diagnosed with post-natal depression but this is no big shock really as i'm pretty certain i had ante-natal depression - blimey, I even got depressed before and after I got *married*, so its a well trodden road for me. I know for every down there is eventually an up, it just involves a climb.

I'm hoping to jig my blog around a bit today and some more next week, and then i'll be more comfortable about updating as and when.

Mummy's day off

I had a day off yesterday and did 2 double LOs and 2 singles. Not brilliant results in honesty, but enjoyable never the less and a further dent in the stash and photo pile.

Today the break in my stash diet arrived (or at least some of it) and I've booked scrapcamp for the end of September, so back on the wagon until then.

Tonight, a night in the bath with Ali E ... well, her new book anyway!

falling off the wagon

(still here, no baby yet)

Nearly fell off the stash diet wagon. But resisted. Just shopping out of boredom now. Cant even sit at my desk properly!

creating keepsakes june edition

Finally, my June edition of CK dropped through the post today (the new one is out in 3 days in the US!) but it's a really lovely one - especially like the 15 minute layouts, that pick and match products. Definitely will have a dig through the old stash to match up some papers and copy the ideas. I have a bit of a backlog of photos to get through (my fault for getting so excited and printing out a million different pics) so once I've worked my way through the majority of these I think I'll just print as and when I need some and I can always use my photo printer to print stuff ad-hoc too, which is nice.

Plus scrapping quietly and listening to radio 4, that must be good for the blood pressure right?

Finishing and Beginning

I've been looking around me and I have an awful lot of pages currently unfinished, without homes. (Although that's because I'm desperate for some page protectors but I have other things I need to spend money on right now). I had a good go at bashing my way through a collection of unfinished items recently, but I think later on it might be time for another. Some need the right photo, if they were done in classes, and some need things adhering in a proper way. Most need some journalling added. All of them need finishing off.

For my scrap for cash challenge, I think I'll award myself £1 for each single LO I finish - although one class page I can think of needs some much work I'll just add it to my 'doing' total at £3 a page.

I've also got some inspiration buzzing round my head from a LO in Supply Savvy, all about Fizzy my cat.

I'm also debating the merits of making up album pages for Baby before he puts in an appearance. The trouble is, I find the photos often dictate the way the page goes. I just find really blank generic sketch pages a bit pointless ... on the other hand, how long will it be before I actually get to do any???

Supply Savvy update

Following Erin Lincoln's example, and trying to stick to my stash diet, I've done 7 new layouts from existing stash. So 93 to go ...

I'm 'paying' myself to scrap - weird I know - at £3 a layout. This is so I have a tally of how much come the next scrapcamp I have to spend :)

£21 pounds.

Hmm, I should add this to my sidebar. might do that now. Sadly until I get a new camera I can't show you the stuff but hopefully soon :)
